Over at the Ancestry blog they have an incredible article about a volunteer who is transcribing the slave index for Fairfax, VA.  Before this article it was a one women show, now I wonder if more people will be out there trying to help her out.  It great to hear stories about people going above and beyond for genealogy, even to area's that they dont really need, just to help a fellow genealogist.  Does anyone else have some great stories they heard, or things they have done in the name of genealogy?
