My Jackson line is from Dunmore PA. The rumor is that I am related to either Stonewall Jackson or Andrew Jackson the president.  Even today I cannot prove or disprove this.



1. William Jackson was born on Apr. 10, 1816 and died on Nov. 27, 1873 in Dunmore, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, USA. He married Sabra Mead on Jun. 5, 1841. Sabra, daughter of Eleazar Mead and Elizabeth Parker, was born on Nov. 1, 1824 in Abington, Luzerne Co., PA and died on Dec. 16, 1903 in Dunmore, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, USA.

v. 6. Joseph Warren Jackson was born in 1847 in Dunmore, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, USA and died in 1924.
vi. 7. George Henry Jackson was born on Apr. 25, 1845 in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, USA and died on Dec. 14, 1916.
vii. 8. Malinda L. Jackson was born in 1844 and died in 1874.

7. George Henry Jackson was born on Apr. 25, 1845 in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, USA and died on Dec. 14, 1916. He married 1st Elizabeth Manes on Jan. 1, 1866 in Waymart, Wayne, Pennsylvania, USAE. lizabeth, daughter of Peter Manes and Catherine Swingle, was born on Jan. 6, 1845 in South Canaan, Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA and died on Jun. 30, 1905. He married 2nd Eva A. Stiles on Nov. 23, 1909. Eva A. was born in 1860 in Summit, New Jersey and died on Apr. 22, 1928.

ii. 18. Clarence E. Jackson was born on Dec. 28, 1869 in Dunmore, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, USA and died in May 1946.
iii. 19. Joseph Lee Jackson was born on Nov. 6, 1866 in Dunmore, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, USA and died on Jan. 16, 1925.

8. Malinda L. Jackson was born in 1844 and died in 1874. She married Edwin E. Titus.

    Hi there - I believe somewhere along the line we must cross paths in the Jackson Surname. My Jackson was also related to Stonewall. My Jackson is also from the Dunmore, Pittston, Avoca area!! THe surnames that go down the tree are mulderig, Nolan (my nana) b. 1925. Granahan. I am doing the tree on paper!! 1888 Mud Run. The 2 Jackson boys both named James are my great great uncles. They were cousins 12 and 14. the granparents of these 2 cousins are Harry/Henry Jackson married Irene Mulderig. Sound familiar! Michelle
