Lawrence Toomey was born in 1872 in England, or possibly Ireland depending on which census record you care to view.  He immigrated to the united states in 1890, with his mother Anastasia, and sister Jane.
In 1907 Lawrence married Bridget Gerrity in Scranton, PA.
In the Scranton Paper there was actually two obituary notices for Lawrence, each a day apart.  Both were pretty short, giving just a brief description of his life.
Lawrence passed away on April 22, 1939, leaving his wife, a daughter, and two sons.
